Shopping Trip

Yah, Yah, Yah.................., I know I've been slacking off on my blogs! I've been so busy (haven't we all). Anyway, I had to work black friday so I didn't get to camp out at the local stores for those great buys. I did get to go on a shopping trip to Dallas with our church group. We left on a chartered bus early in the morning and didn't get back until around 11:30pm. We stopped at Sam Moon first. Great place for purses, wallets, luggage & jewelry. We ate lunch at an Italian resturant called Two Guys Italian Resturant. We left there and headed to the Galleria. WOW it was beautiful and crowded! We only had 3 hours to shop. You need and entire day there! My aunt and uncle (Marilyn & Charlie) who live in Texas met us at the mall and we got to visit and shop with them. Well........with Marilyn anyway. Charlie took off for a beer and left us ladies to do some damage. I didn't spend a dime in the Galleria. I found lots of things. Just couldn't afford them. I found a purse I liked and it was $200 on clearance!!! Anyway, we left the Galleria and headed for the Grapevine Mills Mall. We had 2 hours there to shop. NOT ENOUGH TIME!!! It was nice there. Lots of sales going on. We left that mall and headed to IKEA! WOW.....that store is nice!!! We ate some food at IKEA and when we finished we only had 20 mins. to shop. If I'd known how great this store was I would have sacrificed my meal (as if I really needed it anyway). All in all I only spent around $125! But I had a great time with my mom and Grandma. We haven't had a "girls shopping day" in a long time. It was also nice to get to know some of the ladies that I see in church but don't really get to talk to. I told Michael about all the stores and I think he wants to go this weekend! We are kid free this weekend and it would be nice to just get away. We still have lots of shopping for our "brady bunch" to do. Look out IKEA! Here I come!!!!

more pics

What a poodle SHOULD look like

same pic. couldn't remove it.

She's so happy!

I finally just broke down and paid to have Molly professionally groomed. We got a business card from our local corner convience store for a mobile dog groomer. He was great. He came out to our house and worked his magic. He did however take "forever". Molly looks and smells sooooo good! I wish she would stay that way. She doesn't even look like the same dog. The groomer also cut Cheyenne's nails. We have tried. I don't know how he did it. Bulldogs nails are so thick! He did it all by himself! No choke holds or hold downs needed. I guess I will have to finally give up my clippers! HA

Update

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Not much has happened. Just boring ole day to day life. Nothing exciting anyway. Bailey was sick last week for fall break. Now Michael is sick. I'm waiting for it to be passed on to me. You know how it is. Colton is now wrestling. He's loving it. Go figure? He's been practicing for 3 weeks now. Its good to see him so excited. Poor Bailey will be his practice partner soon. She doesn't know it yet. I remember those days. My brother used to do that to me. Take downs, holds, and etc. Easy target. I'm getting into MY busy time of the year. Halloween, Colton's birthday, Thanksgiving, more family birthdays, and Christmas. I am not ready for ANY of them! I've gotta get a costume for Bailey soon. I always wait too long and she has to pick from the bottom of the barrel. I'm such a lazy mom sometimes! Still no word from disability for Michael. All we hear is that the money is coming. When???? It's hard to be patient sometimes. It's been almost 3 yrs since Michael was disabled. I know God is taking care of us and I am thankful. I just get frustrated. Anyway.....................I wish all of you the best. God Bless!

Bailey's slumber party

I had a slumber party for Bailey's birthday. I let her have 5 girls stay over. We had a really good time. We played games and they jumped on the trampoline (with the kitten). It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm glad that Birthdays only come once a year though!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY!!!!

I can't believe that my "baby" is 9 already! Man, time flies. It has been such a pleasure watching her grow and turn into the sassy, independent, stubborn, hard headed, funny, pain in the a$$ (it's true!) and beautiful girl that she is . I Love You Sister! You make me smile everyday. I am so proud of you.

Justin Magness left for Afghanistan Friday September 11th. What a day to leave right? Anyway, We pray that God keeps you safe and more importantly BRINGS YOU HOME SAFELY. We are so proud of you! We Love You!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Colton, Bailey & I met my mom, grandma, and dad at the lake for the weekend. We had a great time swimming and tubing. I got sunburned, OF COURSE! Michael stayed home to spend time with Arissa. I'm sad the summers almost over because we didn't get to go to the lake as much this summer, But I'm ready for the fall. It's my favorite time of the year!

Back to school

Today is the first day of school. YEAH!!!!!! I can't believe Colton is in Junior High!

Slip N Slide

Our church has an annual slip n slide each year and we give away backpacks and school supplies. We ran out last year. This year we gave 440 backpacks filled with school supplies. We also had a moon bounce, hot dogs, and free clothes for the kids. It was a lot of fun and hopefully we will get a few new members out of it too!
