Molly update

Someone was jealous and had to get a pic taken

She still hates me!
See........Molly's hair grew back. She looks more like a poodle everyday.

garden update

Have no idea what this is?

Zucc......squash

Yellow squash

Corn

watermelon

Watermelon

Pineapple

Bailey & sunflowers

I know..........it needs weeding

Here's the current status of my garden. Besides being "half" weeds, it's doing good. Better than I expected actually. I can't wait to eat the watermelon and the corn. We got fresh pineapple and I decided to plant the tops to see if they would actually grow and they are! Thats funny!

New Additions to the family

Yes, the Magness family has added guinea pigs! Just what we needed! More animals. Bailey has wanted a pet of her own for a long time. We went on our "Weekly Sunday visit" to the pound and they had these critters. They are really sweet (if you can call a member of the rodent family sweet). They squeak and make cute noises. Arissa named hers Jake( the one on the right) and Bailey named hers Bugsy (the one on the left). They are fun to play with but make a HUGE MESS! I need to find an alternative to cedar/pine chips. Any suggestions? Anyway..........I think the people at the pound are happy to see us each week because we end up adopting something. We've gotten chickens, goats and dogs from them. It's not a farm if you don't have lots of animals right?

4th of July

I went to the Lake for the fourth. Michael stayed home because Justin was on leave and in town. It was rainy at the lake. They cancelled the firework show that they usually have. But it was relaxing. It was nice to spend the weekend with my family. I don't get to see my brother very often. None of us had kids. It was just adults. THAT WAS NICE! I am anxious to get my kids up there too. I'm sure they had fun with their dad.

Murder at the farm

Michael and I went out to feed my dogs and tend to the chickens yesterday around 6pm. I noticed that Star (my dog) was loose. About that time Michael yelled that something had gotten the chickens! Well I instantly knew who it was. Star did it. I ran back to the chicken coop and all around were dead chickens. It looked like CSI. Bodies everywhere! Michael was very upset! We do have 2 hens, 1 rooster, and my duck left. I feel sorry for my little duck. He's already gone thru a snake attack and now a dog attack. Don't get me wrong I am upset too! I raised 14 baby chicks and now I only have one of them left. Who knew you could get so attached to chickens? Anyway, I'm mad at Star but I know she's just doing what animals do. It's just her animal instincts. She didn't even eat the chickens she just killed them for sport. Poor chickens. I know you're in chicken heaven somewhere. You will be missed! cluck cluck
